Purification of granular sediments from wastewater using a novel hydrocyclone

Wastewater is an inevitable product in industry. How to remove fine particles and enhance the impurity removal efficiency of wastewater purification equipment has always remained a hotspot issue. In this study, novel hydrocylone with bi-symmetrical involue inlet, thick-wall overflow pipes conical segment structure was designed compared other hydrocyclones including different structures inlets, i.e., The flow field separation performance were investigated via numerical analysis, simulation results show that inner hydrocyclone more stable, accompanied significant decline both short-circuit circulating rates; moreover, using hydrocyclone, tangential velocity, axial velocity pressure increase significantly, which can make particle obtain great centrifugal driving force effectively reduce number dislocated particles. recovery ratio diameter 1 μm also shows enhancement. Conclusively, higher quality. present study provide theoretical foundation for design hydrocyclone.
